Category 5 : Rhizoduct
Loud Places Festival
2026

An extension of the 2025 installation ‘Reflector’, ‘Rhizoduct’ is a lighting system which expands the [CAT.5] ecosystem at Loud Places through directly engaging with the woodland.

At its core, Rhizoduct reconfigures the logic of the cable tray - inverting its function from a device for power distribution, control, and efficient data transfer into one with no defined beginning or end - and with the sole purpose of dancefloor connection.

With the integration of seating which cuts through the weaving network, nooks for full immersion are woven into the installation allowing festival-goers to occupy, rest within, and move through the system while it operates.

Category 5 : ReflectorLoud Places Festival
2025

Reflector evolved as a critique of existing regulated lighting environments. In particular, the Category 2 louvre module which has become synonymous with corporate office contexts and subsequently detrimental social structures. By reframing and redirecting it through the lens of interconnectedness, [CAT.5] Reflector grounds festival-goers into the natural rhythm of the forest. Custom laser-cut steel inserts facilitate a suspended rigging system, while programmed LEDs pulse and perform from within frosted acrylic tubing.

Iteration with Sam Williamson
2020

A series of three posters in collaboration with Sam Williamson, a graphic designer based in London. Images were produced for Sam to interpret and formulate layouts.

The graphics were generated through old CRT TVs and feedback loops, creating levels of grain and distortion throughout the process.
